Our Methodology
Representing best practices in management and technology
consulting, our methodology is comprised of the following
phases:
- Assessment
- Design
- Development
- Implementation & Testing
Assessment
During the Assessment phase we collaborate closely with
you to define your business goals and opportunities. Our
consultants contribute ideas based on our experience with
similar projects and industries. We conduct an analysis of
your business context, including trends affecting your
market, customers, and competitors. The Assessment phase
helps us to define specific opportunities, target
users/customers, and measurable business goals. The
following is a sampling of the services completed during
the Assessment phase:
- Planning and Brainstorming Sessions
- Evaluation of Current Product
- Competitive Analysis
- Focus Groups
|
- Market Research
- Customer/User Profiles
- Brand Positioning
- ROI Analysis
|
Design
During the Design phase, we determine the product's user
experience, which is comprised of many information
architecture, usability, and interaction design factors.
These factors are determined by the tasks, and their
accompanying documentation, that are completed through the
entirety of the phase. There are many different
combinations of documents that we use depending on the
solution we're developing for our clients. The following is
a small sampling of some typical documentation that we
produce in the Design phase:
- Personas
- Storyboards
- Use Cases
- Wireframes
|
- Page Description Diagrams
- Process Flows
- Site Maps or Application Schematics
- Visual Prototypes
|
Development
During the Development phase, Bit Group makes real the
outputs of the Design phase. Architectures, flows, and
visual prototypes are translated from visual and textual
concepts into functional code. This is the phase in our
methodology when clients really get a chance to interact
with the product in what will eventually become its final
form. Samples of the deliverables generated during the
Development phase include:
- Use cases
- Entity relationship diagram
- Application object model
- Database schematic
|
- System integration plans
- System design documentation
- 3rd party vendor selection
- Project plan and production schedule
|
Implementation & Testing
During the Implementation & Testing phase, Bit Group
implements the coded product that has come out of the
Development phase. Although this is the final phase, there
are many crucial steps and services that must be completed
before the product can be considered final. Standards must
be documented and testing must be completed to ensure the
application functions according to best practices
determined during the Assessment and Design phases. Samples
of the deliverables and services typically completed during
the Assessment & Testing phase include:
- Deployment
- Server Configuration
- UI Standards
- Style Guides
|
- Quality Assurance
- User Acceptance Testing
- Usability Testing
